Komori Printer Shifts To MAN Roland B2
Progressive Printers, Nottingham (UK) has placed an order for a five-colour Roland 500 press with coater.
The press is claimed to provide premium performance in eight-page perfected printing, not only because of its maximum speed of 15,000 sheets per hour (sph) in perfecting mode but also because of its concept and design.
Thanks to the single-drum sheet turning system the Roland 500 with takes up no more room than a straight press configuration.
Optiprint jackets for the impression cylinders downstream of the sheet turning station meet the highest demands for maintaining high print quality on both sides of the sheet, said the company.
Gary Doman, director of sales for sheetfed presses at MAN Roland GB, said: "This new option significantly extends the variety of configurations available for the Roland 500.
Up to 10 printing units can be included, which, with the Inline Perfector option, would provide for a 5/5 long perfector.
Dedicated coating units can also be added to this configuration to coat both sides of the sheet." He continued: "The Roland 500 press has already impressed printers in the UK with the high-quality, high production speed, and its fast make-ready features - this announcement gives us even more benefits to discuss with potential customers.".
