New Press Prints Commercial Jobs During Training
Gateshead (UK) NW Printers has its 18,000 sheets per hour MAN Roland R500 press up and running and already working a double-day shift.
The company said that Revill is widely regarded to be one of the leading industry experts and has earned his appointment through a string of successes as the organisation's web division director, a post he has held for the last six years.
In that time, MAN Roland secured several major press orders for the UK's newspaper sector.
Revill takes over leadership of the firm from Chris Marks, who held the post temporarily following management changes earlier in the year.
Marks will shortly be taking retirement from the company following 14 years of service with MAN Roland.
Commenting on his promotion, Revill said: "I am feeling very honoured to have been given this position - it is something that I have been working towards for a long time.
I am certainly looking forward to the fresh set of challenges that this new and exciting role will bring." He added: "The company is already beginning to prosper under its newly acquired independent status, as illustrated by the recently released six-monthly sales figures from MAN Roland.
The mood within the company is very buoyant and we are all very confident about the future success of the business.
It is important to aim high and our goal is to be seen as the number one player in the printing machinery market and to drive this business to another dimension." Forty-eight year-old Norman has worked with MAN Roland GB for 17 years.
