Man Roland' US Chief Hands Over Reins

Following six successful years as the chief executive officer of MAN Roland USA, Yves Rogivue (45) will hand over the reins of its North American subsidiary .

Following six successful years as the chief executive officer of MAN Roland USA, Yves Rogivue (45) will hand over the reins of its North American subsidiary to Vince Lapinski (49) with effect from January 1.

"I am confident I will be leaving MAN Roland Inc in the best of hands", said Rogivue about his successor.

Rogivue comes from Switzerland and will be moving back home to join the management team of mailroom systems specialist Muller Martini with effect from April 1, 2007.

His successor Vince Lapinski graduated with a bachelors degree in print technology and print management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

He has been with MAN Roland USA for 16 years and was given the opportunity to run the company's newspaper sales group after only two years with the organisation.

MAN Roland said that Lapinski is recognised in the industry as a successful web offset expert and will now also be responsible for running the sheetfed division of MAN Roland USA, which is profitable again thanks to Rogivue's efforts.

As chief executive officer, Lapinski will report directly to MAN Roland executive board chairman, Gerd Finkbeiner.

The two executives will spend the remainder of the year working closely together to ensure the change-over is a smooth one, added the company.

Commenting on the change Gerd Finkbeiner said: "Vince has strong ties to our company in Germany and his ability to manage people, execute initiatives and deliver results will serve him well in his new role as CEO.

Yves has met the high expectations we had of him and brought our sheetfed operations back in to the black.

It was a difficult job well done.".
