The company said that linking electronics with printing has a significant future and both industries agree on that.

Printed products with integrated electronics offer genuine added value, so the company is closely involved with the OE-A, a working group within the VDMA (German Machinery and Plant Manufacturers Association).

The company's involvement in the field of printed electronics is focused on printed strip conductors and structuring processes.

The press manufacturer added that it is already active in that emerging technology at an early stage to push ahead the development of marketable systems.

Important milestones for the project were presented at the Organic Electronics Conference and Exhibition held in Frankfurt (Germany) included Photovoltaic cells, flexible micro-batteries for power supply, an OLED display and a printed keyboard, which were combined to make an electronic game and serve as technology demonstrators.

The English-language brochure, 'Organic Electronics'," published by OE-A was printed by MAN Roland.

The inside pages were printed on a 10-colour Roland 700 perfecting press and the cover picture was enhanced by the cold foil transfer process using the Inline Foiler Prindor.

The brochure contains a variety of technical reports on the subject and can be ordered free of charge, added MAN Roland.
