MAN Roland Web Services Starting Soon
MAN Roland Web Services is joint venture for MAN Roland presses in Australia and New Zealand.
MAN Roland and MAN Ferrostaal, the sales partner for MAN Roland presses in Australia and New Zealand, are pleased to announce the establishment of a new standalone company called MAN Roland Web Services for all web press servicing operations in the region.
The new company, due to commence business as of 1 January, 2008, will be jointly owned by MAN Ferrostaal and MAN Roland and will provide dedicated support and service operations to the entire range of MAN Roland newspaper and commercial heatset web presses.
"The web press sector is one in which we have had great success over many years, including some of the largest press installations anywhere in the print world, so it is important that we focus on needs of those customers by means of a specialised, dedicated service operation for this market," said Markus Haefeli, Managing Director, MAN Ferrostaal Australia.
"Having a one-stop service provider, jointly-owned with MAN Roland and with its own team of engineers and technicians, will ensure that web customers receive priority access to MAN Roland expertise and support around the clock, both here and from Germany".
Headed by web expert Graham Wickham.
Heading up the new joint venture will be Graham Wickham who comes to the company from his previous role as a senior manager with input to both operation and engineering divisions at PMP Print's Moorebank facility in Sydney.
"Graham Wickham has vast experience in the web sector and, in particular, with MAN Roland presses," added Markus Haefeli.
"More importantly, he understands the servicing requirements of web presses from the client's perspective and knows what is required from us as a service organisation".
"His role will be to ensure that customers receive the type of first-class service and support appropriate for some of the most up-to-date and highly productive web facilities currently operating anywhere in the world." Graham Wickham on his the task of overseeing service and support to many of the largest printing plants in the country: "I am very pleased and excited to be a part of this new approach to service delivery in the web sector," he said.
"MAN Roland has a reputation for technical excellence that is second to none in the web market and it is my goal to ensure this extends to service and support functions as well." MAN Roland is the leading supplier of web presses in the region as well as worldwide, encompassing both newspaper installations from the likes of News and Fairfax Media, as well as heatset presses for major commercial operations such as PMP Print, IPMG and Webstar.
Gerd Finkbeiner, Chairman of the Executive Board of MAN Roland, has personally raised the initiative to establish a new joint-venture company with MAN Ferrostaal: "This collaboration underlines the importance of the Australian market for us".
"It is vital that we continue to ensure our customers receive the highest level of support for their operations." MAN Ferrostaal Australia will retain responsibility for all service and support functions for MAN Roland sheetfed presses in the region.
