MAN Roland Hosts PrintLondon Event
PrintLondon, in association with MAN Roland GB, hold a successful Environmental Workshop

PrintLondon is a partnership between the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) and the London Development Agency (LDA), aimed at supporting the innovative development of the capital's printing industry.
The workshop was designed to cover all of the key areas regarding a printing company's environmental policy, including: why a print business should have one; the requirements of ISO14001; how to write the policy; implementation; and communication.
Guest speaker Susan Steensma, from BPIF Business, talked delegates through the whole process of creating an environmental policy, providing details on the benefits and the pitfalls to be wary of.

Networking And Workflow Focus At Drupa
MAN Roland has announced it is to emphasise a strong theme for its presence at Drupa 2004.
Attendance at the seminar was free-of-charge for pre-registered print companies located within the 33 London boroughs.
Commenting on the success of the workshop, Chris Patefield of PrintLondon, said: "We were delighted to have so many print businesses in attendance".
"Not only were they able to receive detailing environmental planning information, but also there were opportunities for delegates to mingle and network with each other".
Regarding the objectives of the PrintLondon initiative, Chris added: "Following discussions with the LDA, who have the aim of keeping manufacturing within London, funding was made available to the printing and publishing sector - recognised as the largest single manufacturing sector within London's boroughs".
"PrintLondon, working closely with the BPIF, was created earlier this year to distribute those funds".
"We currently have some 185 programmes running over a wide range of subject areas." The organisation also works closely with the City Fringe Partnership.
Commenting on MAN Roland's involvement, Gary Doman, Sheetfed Sales Director, said: "This is a tremendous initiative to be involved with".
"We were delighted to offer our facilities for such a gathering and especially as this meeting focused on a topic very close to our hearts: the environment".
PrintLondon's next event is a free Conference to be held at the Oval Cricket Ground on January 17th, 2008.
