MAN Roland Presses Capture Booming
Indian Market
On the back of a booming printing market in India, MAN Roland has sold two presses, a Roland 700 and a Roland 200 to a firm in New Delhi.
The contract was signed during a three-day trip to India by Dr Markus Rall, MAN Roland's executive board member for sheetfed products Rall also visited Twenty First Century Printers in Mumbai, which is claimed to be one of the largest converters in India that prints with two six-colour Roland 700 presses with coating and delivery extensions

MAN Roland said that the market for printed products in India is booming.
It is predicted that the nation's printing shops will be seeking more orders from western nations, entailing steadily rising levels of demand for printing presses.
The company said it has made timely preparations for a period of increasing demand and Markus Rall commented: "We're a well-known and popular brand in India, with long-standing local representation and we have our own marketing organisation, MAN Roland India in New Delhi.
We've already sold almost 30 printing units.
For 2008, we're anticipating more than 50 printing units." He added that MAN Roland is planning to upgrade its local presence still further in the future.
The printing press manufacturer also claimed that it is the leading press supplier in the Indian newspaper printing sector and ot aims to sell greater volumes in the sheetfed sector as well.
