6-Colour 3B Press Increase Pack

Packaging producer Chesapeake has ordered a six-colour MAN Roland Roland 700 Hiprint press for its facility near Frankfurt (Germany).
The 3B format Roland 700 Hiprint press will be supplied with double coater and it will be fully equipped with UV and infra-red drying equipment It will increase capacity, as well as ensuring the quality and service levels to Chesapeake's customers, it said

MAN Roland said that the press has the capability to produce 180 million cartons per year, which will help support the operation's growth plans to further develop its position in the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets.
Equipped for alcohol free printing, the press features the full range of MAN Roland's Quickchange options for fast make-ready on the printing and coating sections, including Automatic Plate Loading.
The press's automation will help to ensure fast job change-over times, with minimal downtime for make-ready, claimed the company.
According to MAN Roland, the Neu-Isenberg facility is experiencing a strong demand for its services as it continues to make progress in the pharmaceutical and healthcare market.
The factory serves multi-national pharmaceutical customers, as well as niche businesses.
Mike Cheetham, the director of pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging at Chesapeake, said: "This press configuration will provide us with a very robust and flexible system that will help us to ensure that we continue to deliver the very best in printed carton products to our customers." The press's purchase has been supported by the Chesapeake factory's works council, which has welcomed the investment and the commitment that has been shown.
The press will be followed by other ancillary equipment, which will be installed over the coming months.
