MAN Roland's service packages for presses

A MAN Roland GB product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jun 8, 2009

MAN Roland has introduced a range of press service packages, ranging from a basic level up to an all-inclusive package.

Proserv Basic is an entry-level package where MAN Roland's service technicians provide an inspection and safety check that takes one or two days depending on press configuration.

They then give their recommendations for either urgently needed or preventive measures.

With Proserv Basic for inspection and safety checks, MAN Roland believes that customers know what condition their presses are in so that weak points can be eliminated in a planned manner to avoid press failures.

MAN Roland said that its Proserv Basic Plus annual maintenance where the company's service technicians identify weak points and make recommendations for short-term and medium-term maintenance requirements.

The customer decides which work is to be done, which parts should be replaced, or whether upgrades should be installed.

The Proserv Comfort option is said to be appropriate for print firms where there are high demands on printing systems.

Besides the standard services included in Proserv Basic Plus, the Comfort option provides access to MAN Roland's service network and its Telesupport Centre.

One annual inspection, safety check and maintenance with the standard Proserv modules is combined with regular maintenance by the press operators and supported by the Telepresence Maintenance Manager.

Proserv Comfort customers are also said to benefit from an expanded stand-by and diagnosis service, which includes fault diagnosis per Telepresence in emergencies.

Staff at the Telesupport Centre can establish a link directly to the press via a secure online connection and start remote-controlled fault diagnosis.

MAN Roland said that, in many cases, that facility within the Comfort programme not only identifies the source of faults but also enables rectification to start immediately.

Customers can also use the telesupport staff for preventive measures, such as the Remote Check-up to track the causes of performance or quality declines.

According to MAN Roland, customers with the Proserv Supreme all-inclusive package know what their service costs will be for the whole year, which gives them the basis for reliable planning and budgeting.

That is because all services of the Proserv maintenance programmes are included, from the standard services inspection and safety check to the remote diagnosis option in Proserv Comfort.

In addition, all repairs and original spare parts from MAN Roland are also included.

Help is also available from the Telesupport Centre in the event of an emergency.

The only things not covered by Proserv Supreme are parts subject to natural wear and damages for which MAN Roland is not responsible.

MAN Roland now also offers Servicekits for press components that are subject to natural wear but where their replacement cannot be easily anticipated.

With this package MAN Roland said that complete assemblies on a press can be replaced.
