Viscometers Tackle Re-Moist Adhesives Sticky Issue
Many commercial printers are applying water based re-moist adhesives as part of their printing processes.
Its specific advantages are said to be superior chemical resistance against most solvents, such as petroleum, aromatic and chlorinated solvents, ketones, esters, ethers and mixtures of solvents.
According to Mapa Spontex what makes Topchem 345 distinctive is that, unlike any other glove, it is made of a water soluble polymer, which means it is not degraded through contact with aqueous solutions.
Mapa is a manufacturer and supplier of industrial and critical environment gloves with a 50-year history in hand protection and it's TopChem 345 glove is its latest safety glove.
Topchem 345's cotton lining, together with curved fingers, contoured palm and smooth external surface are also claimed to provide good dexterity and comfort for long duration jobs, whilst the gloves also benefit from mechanical resistance and longer working life, thanks to the textile liner.
The gloves are said to be suitable for handling and transporting chemicals, as well as dealing with hazardous chemical emergencies.
Other main fields of use include metal degreasing and stripping and metal surface preparation (solvents).
As well as offering protection against chemicals, Topchem 345 also guards against micro-organisms, mechanical risks and heat, said Mapa Spontex.
Mapa Spontex sales director, Chris Gordon, said: "The Topchem 345 gloves were developed by our technical experts in direct response to a demand from the chemical industry for a glove that would give all round protection.
It reduces complications and improves safety, as workers do not have to stop to think which glove to wear to handle which chemical. Request a free brochure from Mapa Spontex UK ...
