Manufacturers of coated film plastic can now sheet the product at higher speeds than conventional drop shear equipment, ensuring the square, accurate dimensions required by the printing industry.
The MSE Sheeter's solid revolver construction is said to ensure trouble-free performance on a range of materials, cutting up to 0.024" thick (400gsm) board.
Simple to set up by a single operator, lengths are preset to within 0.01" (0.1mm) and a digital sheet length monitor allows the size to be set without cutting a sheet, said the company.
Within its six-foot x 10-foot (2m x 3m) foot print, the MSE Sheeter can convert roll up to 57" (1,450mm) wide in to lengths between 13" - 52" (330mm - 1,320mm) long.
It can be outfitted with appropriate static eliminating equipment, slitter rig and tag inserters, added Maxson.
