MacDermid Colorspan has won its second product of the year award in three years at the SGIA 2006 Show in Las Vegas (USA).

UK Distributor For Flatbed UV Inkjet Printer
Colourgen has been appointed the exclusive UK distributor for the Colorspan 9840UV, MacDermid Colorspan's new industrial grade UV-curable flatbed printer.
Companies entered the competition by submitting a print from an image created by the Digital Printing and Imaging Association (DPI).
The output was judged in four separate categories, based on output size and judged on factors such as colour, detail and tonality.
DPI has sponsored the competition each year and honours those that have produced the best quality print within each category.
MacDermid's Colorspan 9840uv took home the award for best output from flatbed printers on rigid substrates.
The image was 30" x 40" actual size and was printed on a sheet of Alcan Gatorplast.
Bruce Butler, director of marketing at MacDermid Colorspan, commented: "We are once again honoured to win another prestigious award with the image quality of our printers.
The Colorspan 9840uv made its US public debut at the SGIA show and we were very pleased with the high amount of interest in the product.
Designed as an industrial UV flatbed inkjet printer, it can produce output up to 811 square feet per hour and print up to 98" wide on media up to 2.75" thick.
This award confirms what superior output quality it can produce.".
