Meech International has reported success from exhibiting at K 2004, with visitors expressing a keen interest in the new Ex systems for static control in classified hazardous environments.

The new 986 DC Feedback System that works in conjunction with Meech's 976-977v3 pulsed DC product range caused a stir said the company.

Unlike other products on the market that provide an indication of the status of static elimination bars, the new system automatically optimises static charge removal by sensing the residual charge on the target material and reacting to it claimed Meech.

The 986 is easy said to be easy to set-up and interpret, with output options for alarms, monitoring and data logging.

"Our web cleaning specialists were also kept busy.

As a growing number of film manufacturers are being put under increasing pressure from their customer bases to provide materials that are as contaminant and static free as possible, they are turning to Meech to discuss web cleaning solutions.

As a result of K we are now completing several promising trials to demonstrate the benefits of using the web cleaning system - the trial results will speak for themselves," explained Steve Pheasant, director of sales and marketing at Meech.
