Static Control System Installed In Gravure Plants
Meech's Model 986 feedback system is now installed in a number of gravure printing plants for automatically controlling the problems of static.
Static is recognised as a source of hazard as it has the capability of igniting flammable materials.
The new Feedback system provides a remote alarm function to warn of increasing static charge levels and the associated fire risk.
Both visual and audio alarms can be activated at remote locations, so alerting personnel to provide immediate attention.
A data logging facility is also incorporated in to the system to monitor performance and provide historical data for quality control records and quality assurance certification.
According to Meech, unlike other products that merely provide static reporting, the 986 DC Feedback System automatically optimises static charge removal by sensing the residual charge on the target material and reacting to it.
That means that the static control system can operate at optimum performance under a range of conditions without the need for operator intervention, claimed the company. Request a free brochure from Meech International ...
