Meech launched the new 992v3 static generator at ICE 2007 in Munich (Germany).

The 992v3 static generator can be operated to generate a controlled level of static charge that will create a temporary bond between materials, said Meech.

The product can to be optimised for a variety of applications and a diverse range of materials, resulting in maximum pinning effect without the risk of overload, added the company.

Meech said that it was delighted with the number and quality of enquiries it received at ICE.

Trevor Pimm, Meech's regional sales director, commented: "We were exhibiting our range of static control and web cleaning systems for this key market.

The management of static electricity is important throughout the converting industry as effective control results in improved quality, increased productivity and, ultimately, more profit for companies.

This year we particularly focused on the health and safety aspects of using our static control equipment." He added: "We received a very encouraging number of enquiries for web cleaning systems and there was also a lot of interest in our Ex product range.

We are the only company that has close range and long range Ex ionisers, which do not require airflow and are fully certified for use in classified hazardous areas.".
