What is claimed to be the first 100 per cent recyclable label has been added to its product range by McAliece Imaging Products with the Recyclabels Clean Edge Technology product.
McAliece Imaging Products, a division of paper company Central Lewmar said that Clean Edge Technology is a 100 per cent post-consumer face stock with a recyclable permanent adhesive The company said that it was necessary to research and develop a recyclable cut sheet pressure sensitive label in response to US President Clinton's Executive Order 13148 section 702 'Greening the Government Through Leadership in Environmental Management'

McAliece Imaging Products' vice president, Bob Keeney, explained: "The new line, which features four of the top selling die layouts, will not only help our customers but it will also help the environment." Recyclabels is certified by both the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and the CFPA (Chlorine Free Products Association) and it is claimed to be the first pressure sensitive cut sheet label in the industry to have both certifications.
It is packaged 100 sheets per box and can be bought as 10 boxes per carton.
McAliece added that it also offers 30 different selections of cut-sheet stock labels, from a 96 bright white opaque to a digital clear laser label, that meet virtually any imaging needs - from laser and inkjet printers to copiers and digital or offset printing.
The company added that all of its stock labels are fully-compatible with Avery Labelpro and cross-reference with the majority of label software programs used today.
