M-Real has launched what it described as a fast-track on-line sample service for its Zanders speciality papers brands.

The website operates without need to log-on and its use is claimed to be simple and intuitive.

The home page presents three plain paper sheets marked 'samples', 'products' or 'dummies'.

Clicking on any one of those options takes the visitor to the next level.

Once there, the options are said to provide straight forward, single-click choices.

The creative director of Roundel, who developed the site, John Bateson said: "When a designer is looking for samples or dummies on a manufacturer's website it is usually very last minute and they need to find what they want quickly - they are not there to browse.

The new M-Real Zanders site is designed to take you straight to that point without any diversions along the way." By providing the samples and dummies direct, M-Real believes it is better placed to track usage of its papers, gain direct insight in to customer needs and trends and respond more quickly to any changes in customer demand.

The additional by-product of a more refined database will facilitate future communication with the market M-Real serves.
