Wood Free Uncoated Paper's New Presentation
M-real has released a new swatch book, case study and product folder for its Tauro range of wood free, white uncoated paper.
At the same time, improvements and new weights have been added to both Galerie Art Gloss and Galerie Art Silk, the established papers in the range.
Galerie Art Matt is designed for a variety of uses, with very low reflection for easy reading of text combined with a printing surface that gives strong colour and detail reproduction in full colour pictures, said M-real.
It also offers minimal ink consumption and fast setting times, allowing faster turn-around times and increased production efficiency, whilst its high bulk and stiffness give a solid feel to printed material without gain in weight, it is claimed.
Conor Evers, M-real's marketing manager for Galerie Art, said: "We felt the time was right for this new product.
We have seen an increasing trend towards matt papers for some time now and realised the Galerie Art range would benefit from having this type of true matt available.
The reaction so far from printers and designers has been fantastic - it's easy to print and has a lovely look and feel." Galerie Art Matt comes in paper and board weights of 90gsm, 100gsm, 115gsm, 130gsm, 150gsm, 170gsm, 200gsm, 250gsm and 300gsm, in popular sheet sizes.
It is manufactured at M-real's Gohrsmuhle Mill in Germany, which has experience in coated papers.
The company believes that the quality of Galerie Art Matt makes it suitable for applications such as annual reports, advertising material, art and photography books, speciality magazines, covers, posters and wall calendars.
M-real added that there have been improvements to the whiteness, opacity and stiffness of both Galerie Art Gloss and Silk, due to a continuing research and development programme at its Aanekoski Mill in Finland and Gohrsmuhle Mill, where the papers are made.
Three new weights have also been added to the ranges - 90gsm, 100gsm and 350gsm.
New sample folders are available for all three papers in the Galerie Art range.
Each contains samples printed and finished with different techniques, including spot matt, pearlescent and soft touch varnishes, embossing and metallic and holographic foil blocking.
