To celebrate the 2006 football World Cup, paper manufacturer M-real has invited UK and Ireland businesses to participate in a fantasy football league and win VIP tickets to a Euro 2008 football match The Nimrod Fantasy World Cup League (NWFCL), which is also helpng to propmote the company's Nimrod paper range will open for registrations on May 2 and it will run throughout the World Cup

The first 1,000 entrants to register will receive an entry pack containing an England car flag, an A2 wall chart, a NFWCL chocolate bar and a mini football.

A limited number of Trinidad and Tobago flags will also be available for anyone who cannot quite bring themselves to support England, according to the company.

Upon registration, entrants will be sorted in to one of seven mini leagues depending on the industry segment in which they work.

Entry is limited to one per person but not to one per company, and each entrant can take part in their mini league as well as the main NFWCL competition.

The seven mini leagues will be made up of web printers, sheet-fed printers, publishers, merchants, media and trade press, manufacturers and M-real employees.

The winner of the main league will win corporate hospitality for up to eight people at a home international venue of their choice for a Euro 2008 qualifying game and the runner up will receive two tickets at a Premier League or Championship game of their choice.

There are also prizes for each of the mini league winners and for the top scores of the day, as well as wooden spoons for the losers.

Daily spot prizes will also be awarded throughout the competition.

In a tiebreak, the entrant that signed up first will be the winner of the given league, so M-real is encouraging users to register early.

Kane Wootton, brands product manager at M-real's Sittingbourne mill, where the Nimrod papers are produced, commented: "We can't wait for the league to kick off.

The mini leagues should be a great opportunity to generate interaction between our key customers and end users in the print, media and design industries, as colleagues and industry rivals compete against each other to win the impressive prizes on offer.".
