Mix Of Papers For Marks And Spencer Publications
Two new publications launched in tandem with Marks and Spencer's new Lifestore retail venture both use paper from M-real, one of Europe's leading suppliers of fine papers for publishing and graphics.
The children also had the chance to make their own paper.
Garry Ratcliffe, head teacher at Milton Court Primary School, commented: "The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed the activities and making paper.
It was fun as well as very educational and helped finish off our activity week in a very special way." M-real's Kemsley-based New Thames RCF Plant processes 180,000 tonnes of recovered paper annually that would otherwise go to landfill and produces 105,000 tonnes of high quality recycled fibre pulp.
That is used at M-real New Thames to make Evolve, a 100 per cent recycled office paper and at M-real Sittingbourne to make new Era Silk, a coated grade made from 50 per cent recycled fibres and 50 per cent virgin fibres from certified forests.
