M-real Raises Prices Of Woodfree Papers
M-real UK Commercial Printing is to increase the price of its woodfree coated and uncoated papers by seven per cent for all deliveries to UK and Irish customers.

John Tucker, M-real Commercial Printing's regional sales director, said: "A move of this nature is always regrettable but we are sure that customers will be aware of the challenges faced by the paper industry in higher production costs and the need to ensure future profitability." M-real Corporation said it has already stated its intention of improving its balance sheet and profitability as a priority during 2007 and that due to rising production costs, that can only be achieved by a combination of cost savings and price increases.
