M-real launches lightweight cartonboard packaging

A M-real product story

M-real has introduced LITE4U cartonboard packaging to improve efficiency and meet environmental concerns.

LITE4U's lighter-weight board offer the same properties as heavier conventional grades but in lower substances.

It reduces costs and benefits the environment thanks to lighter transport weights and less waste at the end of its lifecycle.

A key feature of lightweighting is the use of BCTMP pulp (bleached chemi-thermo-mechanical pulp).

M-real has released a cartonboard range with five grades - Carta Integra, Carta Elega, Carta Solida, Avanta Prima and Simcote - for various applications.

Overlapping grades are to be discontinued to increase efficiency.

M-real's Carta Elega combines the properties of earlier products Avanta Ultra and Simwhite.

It is suitable for high-quality packaging, for beautycare and other products demanding fine graphics.

The new cartonboard portfolio makes grade selection easier, and mill production cycles are shorter thanks to the smaller number of grades.

This accelerates delivery, improves availability, and makes stock management more efficient.
