MGE Worldwide has developed a new range of circulating, roller chilling, dosing and combination units.

MGE Worldwide has developed a new range of circulating, roller chilling, dosing and combination units The Pressmate range will be exhibited at Embaxprint in the Czech Republic from May 17-25 2005

The units are claimed to have been built to optimise the reliability, productivity and quality of high-speed printing presses and maximise performance.

Initially, the range is aimed at small to medium format offset and web presses and will be extended to large format over the next 12 months.

The Pressmate circulators are said to be compact, water dampening units designed for use with offset and web presses providing refrigeration, circulation to and from the press and alcohol control.

The Pressmate MX1 and MX2 fount additive dosing systems provide accurate and reliable single and multiple circulator dosing said MGE.

They can both be mounted directly on to the circulator or the MX2 can be mounted on the wall.

The optional auxiliary tank provides a cost effective dosing for all Pressmate circulators.

It is mounted on a detachable shelf on the back of the unit and provides a reservoir of up to 20 litres of pre-mixed fount solution.

The Pressmate range will consist of dampening and circulation units, roller chillers and combination units, fount dosing units, varnishing units and reverse osmosis units.

All Pressmate units can be easily maintained and serviced to eliminate unnecessary press downtime and accelerate the return on investment.

"The new units are much easier to access with detachable, multiple piece cabinets which make them significantly more routine maintenance and service friendly.

They are easier to operate and require less maintenance than their predecessors," said Trevor Churchill, development engineer for MGE.

The Pressmate units use components selected for their international availability and have been designed to fit all press configurations currently available.

MGE said it also recognise the importance of environmental considerations and all Pressmate units ensure low noise levels and the use of environmentally friendly refrigerants.

The products are the fifth generation of MGE ancillary print and press equipment.

Combining nearly 30 years of experience in the industry with direct feedback from leading manufacturers, service agents and end users, the new Pressmate range of machines have been designed and developed at MGE's Colchester factory in the UK.
