The managing director of a Midlands (UK) security label printer is looking for its own 'apprentice' after a record set of sales figures for 2004-2005.

Dr Adrian Steele, of Mercian Labels, is looking to the business community to nominate what he described as a high calibre director to join him in building on recent growth and create more jobs at the company's base in Cannock, Staffordshire.

"Whilst we can not offer a six figure cash salary like Sir Alan Sugar, we are looking for an exceptional director with senior sales experience to take an equity stake in the business - the long term goal is for my 'apprentice' to take over a senior management role in the business," said Dr Steele.

Established in 1969, Mercian Labels specialises in the fast printing of small runs of custom printed self adhesive labels for UK businesses and it has a growing market in high security seals for organisations worldwide.

Dr Steele added: "Our new product range of security labels are selling exceptionally well internationally and we just can not keep up with demand at times.

What we need now is for our own 'apprentice' to join us to learn the business and take us to the next level.".
