Paper Company's Colour Management Seminars
The Howard Smith Paper Group, has combined with Bodoni Systems to provide a half-day seminar on colour management and ISO 12647-2.
Organisations now have an urgent need for services that can dramatically reduce their energy losses and CO2 emissions.
Monition believes its condition monitoring surveys are a practical and cost-effective measure to identify the areas of high-energy loss within a production plant.
These are the real 'sore spots' of many operations - the areas causing the biggest drain on energy resources - and the savings that can be made by rectifying items such as poorly insulated steam pipes, damaged refractory and worn plant equipment are astonishing, claimed Monition.

Standard Paper Tests Identify Creasing Properties
Standard test procedures for coated fine papers to identify their clinching and creasing properties have resulted from work by paper firm Sappi with Zwick Roell's Competence Centre of paper and board.
"Consider that just one, 1/8" leak in a compressed air pipe at 100 pounds per sqaure inch (psi) can add around £1,600 a year to your energy costs - now imagine the potential for cutting energy expenses throughout an entire site," Mike Burrows, Monition's managing director explained.
Undertaken without any contact or interference to plant or process, Monition employs a combination of monitoring technologies, such as, thermography, ultrasonics, tribology and vibration analysis, to identify all areas of plant or pipework that is radiating high-energy loss.
Common symptoms of energy wastage in plant and machinery can include insufficient or damaged insulation, poor lubrication of moving parts, worn components, shaft misalignment and pipeline fractures.
By determining factors such as pipe pressures, diameters, running speeds, surface areas and ambient temperatures, Monition produce a report detailing exactly how much energy is being lost it said.
"We show where the losses are occurring and calculate the precise financial costs of these losses.
Monition's customer-friendly reporting provides companies with the information to target their maintenance exactly where it's needed, to justify repair works and expenditure, and to calculate and account for the cost savings achieved.
It costs industry money to waste energy," added Burrows.
"In our experience, the majority of medium to large sites will discover that the cost of rectifying poorly insulated pipework and properly maintaining their plant is only a fraction the expense of the energy being wasted annually - projected energy savings over five years can run into hundreds of thousands of pounds - and this goes directly to the bottom line," added Burrows.
