Mosca said it will underline its credentials as a dedicated supplier of strapping equipment to the newspaper and graphics industry at Ipex 2006.

Three new machines will be revealed on the Mosca stand, including two that incorporate the Sonixs sealing technology.

In addition, the Mosca RO-TAI-5 automatic strapping machines will be on display at three sites across the exhibition.

The new Sonixs ultrasonic sealing system can be seen in action on two models - the Sonixs MP and the Sonixs TR.

Mosca said that the technology represents a significant advance in sealing efficiency, offering a seal that is both faster to apply and stronger.

Alongside the two Sonixs machines is the Mosca ECO-2, an entry model that is said to be simple to use and competitively priced.

All three machines incorporate Mosca's direct drive technology, which has eliminated the use of gearboxes, clutches, pulleys and chains.

Other Mosca machines will be on display across the exhibition.

The RO-TAI-5 will be seen at the Muller-Martini stand - hall 5, stand D10 - and the Integra stand - hall 2, stand F35.

The stand-alone Mosca ROMP-4 will be shown by Kern in hall 2, stand E50.

"Ipex offers us the opportunity to showcase the best of our existing range and the next generation of ultrasonic sealing head strappers," commented Peter Foster, managing director of Mosca Direct.
