Neopost, the provider of mailing and shipping systems, has introduced the DS-70 automated folding and inserting system for mid-volume mailings.

Said to provide high productivity and flexibility, the DS-70 is a compact, system for mid-to-large users.

The DS-70's design is claimed to provide functions that are unique in its class.

The DS-70 can be electronically interfaced to a mail machine, providing an all-in-one document processing system whilst saving time and money.

Its touch-screen control panel and 'load and go' feature allows office personnel from any department to easily operate the system, said Neopost.

The 'secure and feed' feature electromechanically detects document thickness as mail pieces pass through the machine, guaranteeing that the correct documents reach the intended addressee.

To completely safeguard the process, Neopost offers the optional optical mark recognition (OMR) feature, which can ensure security, as well as customise contents of the envelope for each recipient, added the company.

The DS-70 is claimed to insert up to 40,000 mail pieces per month and up to 3,500 pieces per hour.

Three multifunctional feed stations allow users to process a range of fold types, as well as document size, order and texture.
