Neopost has released its new IM-75 incoming mail processor, which is claimed to enable businesses process large volumes of incoming mail It is claimed to operate at high speeds of up to 4,500 envelopes per hour whilst opening each mail piece securely so that documents can be removed safely

With its slicing mechanism, the IM-75 is said to be able to ensure the protection of all documents inside the envelope whilst reducing the amount of waste, dust and sharp edges created in the process of opening it, said Neopost.

The empty envelope detector provides extra security by using light sensors around the envelope extraction area to detect that all of the envelope contents have been removed.

Only once that procedure has been completed will the IM-75 bin the envelope, providing businesses with piece of mind that important documents, such as cheques, have not been destroyed.

Philippe Masson, Neopost's marketing director, said: ''Its bespoke design, allows operators to focus on sorting the mail so that it can be distributed faster and increase the overall responsiveness of the mail room.

'The IM-75 was designed with operator comfort in mind but also making sure that it could increase businesses input, throughput and output of mail." He added: "It is height adjustable and boasts a number of safety features, such as rounded edges, arm rests and a wider opening of the envelope with a light for easier and safe extraction.

Also, with its extremely low noise level the IM-75 is both economical and user friendly.''.
