Prior to joining Polestar, he worked in the retail and mail order sector for Next and Grattan.
He will mainly concentrate his efforts on the commercial, catalogue and mail order markets.
He said: "I am delighted to be joining NJP at this pivotal point in the company's rapid growth.
There are exciting times ahead and I am looking forward to playing a part in such a progressive, innovative team." David Beattie previously ran his own printing business for 14 years before joining Graphoprint at the end of 2004.
He has worked with customers such as Direct Line Insurance, Capital Bank, British Gas (Centrica) and MFI.
He will be focusing on the commercial, catalogue and travel brochure markets.
Beattie commented: "This is an extremely exciting time to be joining NJP.
The company's reputation for producing a quality product backed by outstanding customer service will play a critical role in the decision making process for many print buyers." Ian Thorpe, sales and marketing director of New Jarrold Printing commented on the appointments: "John and David bring a wealth of experience to the sales team at NJP.
I have every faith that they will play a key role in helping us further diversify our business into the increasingly important commercial and catalogue sectors.".
