First UK Digimaster Helps Ling Break New Markets
Nexpress Solutions has completed its the first installation of a Kodak Digimaster E150 digital production system in the UK at Henry Ling.
At the beginning of October, the company also installed a Kodak Nexpress 2100 digital production press for digital colour production.
Renaud Caillat, managing director of Netprint, explained that the decision to buy Digimaster 9110 mono systems and the Nexpress 2100 was influenced by three factors.
"First, our new technology strategic monitoring department, which guides purchases, put in a strong vote for the Kodak digital printing systems.
Secondly, we thoroughly analysed the systems performance.
Finally, the support from Nexpress and the facilitated implementation process played an influential role in the decision," said Caillat.
Netprint's client base is drawn mainly from the Grenoble area, with customers in corporate, publishing, advertising, industrial and institutional sectors, as well as direct mail and marketing.
The average print run is around 150 but more often runs also increase to over 3,000 mono prints.
"Today's clients demand increasingly short production times and the printing of up-to-date information tailored to the target audience.
Our strategy consists of offering comprehensive, diversified and efficient services.
With our Digimaster 9110 and the Nexpress 2100 we're able to satisfy our clients' demands for short runs, high quality printing, document versioning and personalisation.
With a solid digital solution, Netprint's future looks promising and profitable," added Caillat.
He said that he feels that quality in digital printing is an old debate.
"Knowing whether to use offset or digital technology is no longer a hot topic.
Offset and digital are now so close that there's no need to bring it up any more," he commented.
To him, the quality is clear and with that in mind, he said he is actively planning to upgrade his four-colour press to a five-colour system.
