First UK Digimaster Helps Ling Break New Markets
Nexpress Solutions has completed its the first installation of a Kodak Digimaster E150 digital production system in the UK at Henry Ling.
Nexpress shared its stand with sister company Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG).
The 'intelligent' colour system, with colours licensed from Pantone, is claimed to enable printers to deliver an 80 per cent richer colour gamut than can be achieved with standard four-colour process printing.
It is also said to provide an enhancement to spot colour reproduction.
The company added that the coating method lets users add a flood or spot of clear dry ink coating for greater image protection and security.
Coating can enhance the overall look of selected images and entire documents, or be applied as an authenticating watermark on coupons or to highlight copyrights on image proofs.
The glossing system is said to enable printers to add a high-gloss coating to printed pieces for higher marketing impact.
The gloss finish is provided by Nexpress clear dry ink, in combination with the new Kodak Nexglosser glossing unit for a claimed higher gloss finish than UV-coating processes, with no environmental impact.
