Impresora Silvaform, one of the largest security printers in Mexico, has bought a Nipson 8000 SED for variable data print at its Monterrey plant.

The 8000 SED will allow for printing on a wide range of substrates through the use of magnetography and cold-flash fusion technologies, which do not heat the printed substrate said Nipson.

By printing both sides in one print run, the single engine duplex (SED) printer will further streamline operations.

As the second Nipson in less than a year that Silvaform has purchased to handle its wide array of security and financial printing needs, the company said it will improve on existing electrophotography and ink jet printing systems and increase efficiency.
