Visitors to Labelexpo Europe - September 21-25 - in Brussels (Belgium) can see Nipson's full line of digital printers for label companies, including a system for printing variable data on a range of substrates.

The Nipson 1865 compact printer at stand 7N15 represents one element of the Nipson family of digital presses with the high-volume Varypress 200 and 400 models highlighting thje opposite end of the spectrum.

Nipson presses feature cold flash toner fusing, claimed to be a flexible non-heat fusing technology that enables printing on almost any substrate, from the most fragile 14lb bond to heavy 140lb tag stock, as well as thin to heavy gauge films and foils.

The non-heat fusing technology is claimed to virtually eliminate distortion, tearing, or peeling of pressure-sensitive labels without affecting the gluing capabilities of the stock.

Nipson's line of printers features 600 dots per inch (dpi) quality suitable for high density and 2D barcodes.

Alfons Buts, the managing director of Nipson Digital Printing Systems, said: "We are an ideal partner for efficiently integrating variable data printing in to any label production operation.

Today we offer benefits to a full range of label printing customers - from the low-volume to-mid-volume 1865 for proofing and short production runs, to the Varypress 200 and 400 for high-volume printing and integration with traditional printing press technologies." Nipson claimed that with its Varypress 400, label printers can integrate digital printing with traditional high-speed flexographic and offset presses for complete roll-to-roll or roll to finishing services, whilst increasing efficiency and adding higher overall value.

Nipson presses are used world wide by leading label printing companies including Topflite Labels in the UK, Image Now and Moore Wallace in the US and Datamail in France, added the company.
