At Print '05, Nipson is highlighting its direct mail applications that demonstrate the speed and flexibility of the company's Varypress 400.

In early 2005, MAR Graphics of Valmeyer, Illinois (USA) installed an automated digital printing and finishing line comprising a Varypress 400 digital production press integrated in-line with a Hunkeler Variweb finishing system.

The system is said to be the first of its kind in the United States and has allowed MAR to increase print volumes and productivity by up to five times, said Nipson.

"Our customers increasingly demand direct mail documents on a greater range of substrates, with more complex finishing needs and personalisation.

Our integrated finishing and high-speed magnetography printing line incorporates unique technology that allows us to serve all of these needs and look after our own bottom line," said Rick Roever, president of MAR Graphics.
