At Ipex '06, April 4 - 11 in Birmingham (UK), visitors to stand 06-A40 will experience the combination of speed and flexibility from Nipson Digital Printing Systems Nipson will be demonstrating its systems running at production speeds in-line with finishing and labelling equipment

The systems will produce a range of applications serving industries such as direct mail, publishing, security, transactional, and labelling.

Nipson's Varypress 200 running at 90 metres per minute (295 feet per minute) will be shown in a twin engine duplex (TED) configuration and will produce a mix of booklets, direct mail, print on demand and transactional applications.

The systems will be integrated in to an array of finishing equipment showing the flexibility of Nipson's technology to service a range of markets from the same system, said the company.

Visitors to the Nipson stand can also see the Varypress 400 running at 125 metres per minute (415 feet per minute) printing new label, security, and ticket applications.

The Varypress 400 is claimed to demonstrate a combination of speed, print quality and flexibility.

The combination offers printers high production speeds and the ability to produce complex applications to meet rising market demand, added Nipson.

Also present this year will be Nipson's 1865 compact printer for proofing and short production runs.

Alain Flament, Nipson's chief marketing officer, said: "The landscape of commercial printing has changed.

Printers are challenged to produce increasingly complex documents with a greater degree of efficiency across many different markets.

Nipson gives printers all over the world the technology they need to adapt to this changing landscape and grow profitably." The Varypress digital printing system is said to have been globally adopted by users in book on demand, print-on-demand, security, label, direct mail, and transactional markets.

The flexibility of the systems is made possible by Nipson's non-heat flash toner fusion that enables variable data printing in high volumes on almost any substrate, claimed Nipson.

The company said that its line of printers features 600 dots per inch (dpi) output.

"At Ipex, we are demonstrating Nipson's ability to print beyond limits.

Through flexibility and adaptable technology, we can provide our customers with customised and innovative solutions that will grow with their business," said Flament.
