Although a UK event, Northprint has attracted international companies with visitors coming from as far a field as Australia, Mongolia, Egypt, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, India and the Middle East said IIR.
"Pre-show registration has hit record levels at this stage before the event.
The combination of high-calibre exhibitors, innovative product launches, and a generally upbeat industry has contributed to the high level of interest," said Gordon Kirk, event manager for Northprint.

High Speed Counting Machines On Show At Northprint
Vacuumatic is set to showcase its high speed counting machines and latest commercial printing tabbing systems at Northprint 2007 - stand A190.
Steve Cale, print room manager at Kall Kwik bought his last press at Northprint 03 and is now looking to buy again at this year's show.
He said: "I am really looking forward to the show.
As a busy High Street printer reliability is essential when looking to buy a press and I am confident Northprint will be the perfect opportunity to research the latest options available on the market and invest in a new press." Of the 100 companies at the show over a third have chosen Northprint as the launch pad for a wide variety of production equipment and John Buffoni, managing director at Ryedale Group said that he is keen to see new technology and developments.
"Northprint is the ideal event to see new innovations in the industry, especially in the areas of digital technology and software.
New technology enables me to maintain the competitive advantage I need to be ahead of my competitors," said Buffoni.
Northprint continues to attract a range of new exhibitors with Draabe, NCS, Nexpress Solutions, Tarrant Machines and Tecsa as the latest companies to book space at the show within the last two weeks and joining other key industry players such as Heidelberg, Creo and KBA.
IIR added that visitors will get the full printing experience from origination to print and finishing and will come away with a 'state of the nation' overview on MIS, data handling, pre-press, presses, consumables and finishing technology.
For example, Graham Nixon, the proprietor at Newark Designer Print said he is keen to see the wide variety of exhibitors at Northprint and appreciates the profits that the show will bring his business.
He continued: "We believe it is vitally important to continually refocus our ideas for development.
Northprint allows us to do this and at the same time make important comparisons between the wide range of technology being displayed.".
