Held every two years, Northprint has cemented its reputation as the UK's only mainstream print show, according to its organiser, IIR Exhibitions.
This year the show celebrates its 40th anniversary and has attracted the industry's major equipment suppliers to Harrogate from April 24 - 26.
The show's event manager, IIR's Gordon Kirk, said: "Northprint is perfectly positioned between Ipex and Drupa and is on target to be, once again, the business show for people in the UK print business." IIR Exhibitions said it is impressed with the strong support from a broad cross-section of exhibitors.
Kirk commented: "We are well ahead of bookings at this stage with 90 per cent of the space already confirmed.
There will be over 100 companies showing the full spectrum of products and services from management systems, to the latest in pre-press, digital and offset printing and finishing." This year he added that there will be a broader range of printing technology in action than before: offset, digital and screen printing presses will demonstrate a range of applications from labels and commercial print to variable data and large format display graphics.
Exhibitors include: Apex, Canon, Danwood, Duplo, Friedheim International, Graphic Arts Equipment, Heidelberg, Konica Minolta, Litho Supplies, MAN Roland, Morgana Sakurai, Oce, Screen, Shuttleworth Business Systems, Tharstern, Watkiss and Xeikon.
First time exhibitors' Envirowise and Simply Print Finishing reflect the growing importance of Northprint as a premier technology showcase to the industry, added IIR.
In addition, the BPIF, BAPC, Vision in Print, Print Yorkshire and the Leicester College of Printing are all supporting the show providing practical management and training advice to visitors.
Kirk explained: "Our priority is to provide an event that brings together all aspects of the printing industry in the UK.
It's a great place to network, discover the latest developments, learn about the recent innovations in print and see best-of-breed applications - all under one roof." He added that Northprint continues to extend its reach, appealing to commercial printers, finishers, print buyers, publishers, agencies and designers nationwide.
The blend of suppliers, multiple product demonstrations, advice centres and practical seminars to take place in Harrogate, is expected to attract over 4,000 visitors to the show.
Online registration is already available.
Nick Craig Waller, marketing director of IIR Exhibitions, said: "Northprint is a trusted and established show, that has continued to evolve and grow with the fast changing graphic arts industry.
We anticipate this year's show will be better than ever as we have some exciting new features planned, which we will be announcing shortly.".
