30 Finishing System Suppliers Appear At Northprint

With less than two months to go until Northprint 07 (Harrogate, April 24 - 26) there are already over 30 suppliers set to display finishing equipment at the show.

With less than two months to go until Northprint 07 (Harrogate, April 24 - 26) there are already over 30 suppliers set to display finishing equipment at the show.

The contingent of finishing companies reflects the fast evolving range of post-press equipment available on the market today, according to Northprint organiser, IIR Exhibitions.

Finishing systems manufactutrers that will be at Northprint 07 include Addressing and Mailing Solutions, Ashgate Automation, Autobond, BABS, Cito, Clinical Print Finishers, D and K Europe, Duplo, Encore Machinery, Envirowise, Foliant, Friedheim International, GBC Films Group Europe, Grahhic Arts Equipment and Heidelberg.

They will be joined by KAS Paper Systems, Lee James Graphic Systems, Litho Supplies, Moll Equipment, Morgana Systems, PDC Presentation Solutions, Perfect Bindery Solutions, PFS2, Renaddress, Renz, Simplyprintfinishing, Terry Cooper Services, Total Print Finishing, TUS and Watkiss.

The focus on finishing at the show is in-line with strong investment in this sector as print firms look to JDF and automation to streamline production as run lengths get shorter and digital print becomes more popular, said IIR.

The range of finishing equipment at Northprint 07 includes the full range of finishing technology - guillotines, collators, creasers, folders, booklet makers, stitchers, trimmers, binders, perforators, laminators, shredders, wrapping, addressing and mailing systems.

New laminators on show will include the Autobond Mini 105 TPHS laminator, the D and K Jupiter B2 thermal laminator and the Tauler Printlam digital laminator from Friedheim.

There will be creasing and booklet making equipment on show, such as that from Cito, which will demonstrate its in-line finishing system and creasing matrix ranges.

Encore Machinery will be exhibiting a range of MB high speed, heavy-duty folders and Pit Stop digital creasers-perforators, whilst Total Print Finishing will show the Creasemaster Pro digital impact scoring and creasing system.

Morgana Systems' range will cover creasers and booklet makers, including the Morgana Digicreaser.

Duplo will demonstrate its most advanced addition to booklet making - the System 5000 booklet maker.

GAE will be showing the new Horizon SPF/FC-200A book production line and Perfect Bindery Solutions will showcase its newly-launched short-run case making plus hard and soft cover book production equipment.

Gordon Kirk, event manager ar IIR Exhibitions, said: "Northprint 2007 is the first national mainstream graphic arts event for commercial print buyers and printers since Ipex and is the best place to see the latest developments in finishing equipment under one roof." At the show there will be over 100 companies showing products and services from digital and offset printing to the latest in pre-press and finishing, he added.
