Mid-East And Africa Deal For Variable Data Product
Globalis International and Objectif Lune have begun a strategic alliance to add Arabic and Persian support to Planetpress Suite and to market E-form Solution in the Middle East and Africa.
Prout Software specialises in the development of transactional variable data printing systems for PCL platforms, complementing the PostScript abilities of Objectif Lune's Planetpress Suite and Printshop Mail.
Furthermore, the expanded coverage enabled by Prout relationships will help solidify Objectif Lune's position in Germany and the European market with greater local expertise to better address customer needs, claimed the company.
Prout Software has been a local market leader for more than 20 years and has a staff of 12 and approximately 3,000 customers in Germany, added Objectif Lune.
Objectif Lune believes that the evolution and future developments of all products will benefit from the established expertise of both companies.
Prout Software's systems also have potential for working with Planetpress Watch, which automates the processing, distribution and printing of transactional and promotional content documents, resulting in more streamlined workflow.
Objectif Lune's chief executive officer, Didier Gombert, said: "The acquisition supports our goal of bringing robust PCL capabilities to the Objectif Lune product portfolio to better serve a wider range of customers.
Prout Software is a proven success in its market, and we will work together with their established team to maximise that positioning and strengthen our presence on the European market." The convergence of all products is expected, so both companies will benefit from their respective expertise in both PostScript and PCL, he added.
Having had previous plans to enter the PCL market, Objectif Lune now brings in to realisation its goal of offering systems to a broader range of customers.
"Expertise sharing will allow us to evolve the entire product portfolio with even greater innovation," added Gombert.
