An Objectif Lune product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team May 30, 2008

By using sample applications, Objectif Lune is using Drupa to demonstrate how communications and document challenges can be met and data used to increase sales and brand awareness.

In hall 9 at Drupa 2008, on Objectif Lune's stand - C19 - the company is illustrating design, workflow, production and routing of a variety of transactional and promotional personalised communications.

Objectif Lune said it offers systems for design and high-volume printing of variable content documents.

The portfolio includes Planetpress Suite for variable data printing and workflow automation, Printshop Mail for promotional printing and Printshop Web, a web-to-print system for print shops and marketing departments.

The latest versions of Printshop Mail and Printshop Web are also being introduced at Drupa and Objectif Lune is showcasing the capabilities of Planetpress Suite, Printshop Mail and Printshop Web across a variety of popular personalised applications.

The company added that it will show how the products can serve stand-alone needs or work together for more complex variable document workflow operations.

The latest release of Printahop Mail, which is highlighted at Drupa, is claimed to provide such design and workflow features as enhanced colour management capability, spot colour functions, support of PDF files for dynamic objects, as well as the possibility to add bleed and crop marks at page level for space maximisation.

Printshop Mail is now compatible with Objectif Lune's workflow automation software module, Planetpress Watch, giving users additional output options, such as email and fax.

Visitors to Drupa are also getting the chance to see how Printshop Mail and Directsmile can work together to combine variable data printing with image personalisation.

Objectif Lune has also introduced a new version of its web-to-print system, Printshop Web 2.2.

With new features for ordering and flexibility, Printshop Web now includes a new shopping cart function, improved price calculation, the possibility to create image banks enabling users to select variable images and new user input field types, such as text fields, checkboxes and rich text editing fields, added the company.

Objectif Lune's chief executive officer, Didier Gombert, commented: "The Objectif Lune team is eager to meet with customers and others coming to Drupa in search of systems for personalised communications.

From our flagship Planetpress Suite to our latest Printshop Mail and Printshop Web releases, we are ready to help show visitors find the answers to their communications needs, as well as discover new ways of doing business." He added: "Drupa is a turning point for Objectif Lune with the launch of new versions of all our graphical products, their open technology and compatibility, new technical partnerships to bring our customers integrated business systems and the consolidation of our European sales and marketing efforts supporting our growth strategy.".
