The Oce Varioprint 2110 Titanium was a big draw for customers with the first UK showing at Digital Print World last week on the Watkiss stand The system was connected to a Watkiss Powersquare 200, which is claimed to produce a maximum book thickness, of 10mm (200 pages on 80gsm stock) - double that of alternative conventional booklet making machines

Oce also showcased its CPT60 colour system on its own stand.

The system has demonstrated the productivity that can be achieved in a small footprint within a competitive budget, said the company.

Jo Watkiss, communications manager for Watkiss Automation, said: "The Oce Varioprint 2110 Titanium has all the attributes to complement the Watkiss Powersquare 200, making a fast and cost-effective alternative system for digital book printing.

There is already a high demand from customers who want to use for the two machines together." The feedback was extremely positive in terms of its quality, productivity, simplicity and operating costs." BERTL awarded the printing systems with the BERTL five-star, exceptional rating.

The organisation's citation said: "The Varioprint Titanium 2100 and Varioprint Titanium 2110 systems surpass other digital production printers in terms of quality, productivity, simplicity and operating costs." The Varioprint Titanium line is claimed to provide an increased level of productivity, reliability and flexibility to help users increase their volumes and manage diverse data streams.

The Varioprint 2100 and 2110 Titanium systems are also said to provide productivity and high reliability that enable corporate printrooms and commercial printshops to produce higher volumes in multiple and extended shifts.
