Oce opened the doors to its Open House 2007, which is claimed to be Europe's largest digital printing fair.

This week over 7,000 customers were expected to attend the event near Munich (Germany) where several new printing systems were on display.

In addition, Oce announced its strategy for the coming years, along with other corporate news.

Oce launched three new digital printing systems at the Open House.

The Varioprint 6160 and 6200 to target the high volume production market, whilst the Arizona 250 GT was unveiled for the growing display graphics market and the company's Variostream 9240 will provide process colour innovation, claimed Oce.

For producing indoor and outdoor-durable applications, the soon to be launched CS9060 is claimed to provide affordable printing, whilst the CS9000 Series is said to be suitable for applications such as point-of-purchase displays, vehicle graphics, transit advertising, banners, way finding and window displays.

In the security printing zone of the Open House, Oce and its partner CEM presented a production line for cheque books and vouchers.

It is said to integrate the productivity and reliability of the Varioprint 5160 digital cutsheet printer with CEM's Docuconverter and Cheque Book Factory System, with the new system combining zero-defect output with streamlined workflows.

Founder and Oce signed an agreement at Oce Open House.

Founder's nationwide sales organisation will sell Oce's digital systems in the high volume printing and graphic arts markets and the partnership implies substantial business opportunities for both parties, said Oce.

Oce added that it will continue to invest in research and development and it is focusing on growth markets to achieve its strategic goals.

The office market in Europe will be approached aggressively, whilst Oce is expanding its position in wide format printing and technical documentation systems.

It also intends to further grow in the diverse commercial printing markets and the display graphics market.

The company said it will also look to increase its presence in the global continuous feed printing market, whilst being committed do the same in the cutsheet market.
