Prismaweb is said to provide printing companies with a print-specific e-ordering system that, in combination with Press-sense's Omnium customer relationship module, embraces the spectrum of customer-driven actions.
At the same time, Oce's Prisma Audit, working with Omnium, will ensure 100 per cent integrity of print, tracking from quotation and order, to single pages printed and finished.
Oce claimed that facility will create an 'automated document factory'.
The company has been marketing Prismaweb, powered by Press-sense, for three years.
The collaboration has led to many installations, which combine Press-sense's business flow automation systems with Oce's print and document management products and services.
Shlomo Ben David, chief executive officer of Press-sense, said: "The broad market acceptance of Press-sense's business flow automation for print on-demand has encouraged customers worldwide to integrate and automate management and business-enhancement tools in to their own print business management.
By extending our relationship with Oce to include Omnium we will be able to offer Oce's customers the full benefits of business flow automation.
This will allow them to create new revenue streams and strengthen client satisfaction, whilst reducing total costs by implementing a highly-efficient business flow." Konrad Sommer, vice president of software for professional and business services at Oce, added: "The addition of Press-sense's Omnium to our product line expands our ability to deliver automated systems that simplify and enhance the lines of communication between print providers and their print customers and tackle all relevant print provider's internal communication.
Omnium will enable us to offer the most comprehensive system to our customers, offering productivity advantages in handling orders and jobs that allow our them to further capitalise on their digital printing systems investments." He continued: "Next to automation, the key Omnium advantage is its holistic approach to each stage of the process.
Other systems have integrated separate process steps, such as individual scheduling application and MIS applications, for instance, but have no real planning application.
With Omnium production planning, process planning, MIS and scheduling are all totally integrated with the customer front-end.".
