It uses Fujifilm Sericol UV curable inks and Oce Variodot imaging to provide claimed near-photographic image quality.
It also includes a flatbed to print on to a variety of rigid substrates.
The Luxeljet UV250GT is said to be suitable for producing a variety of display graphics, such as event graphics, point-of-purchase displays, limited-term signage, banners, backlit and reflective rigid displays, transit advertising and directional signage.
Fujifilm and Oce have agreed on an exclusive partnership for the Japanese market in which both companies have joined forces to sell and service the dual brand Luxeljet UV250GT.
Oce Japan will make use of the FujiFilm Graphics Systems Japan service network and both companies will benefit from each other's expertise in the different segments of the Japanese display graphics market, said Oce.
According to the company, the global display graphics market is expected to grow by approximately six per cent per year.
The core providers in that market are digital printers, graphic screenprinters, sign makers, photographic labs and reprographers producing wide format visual communications for indoor and outdoor use.
