Oce said that the Jetstream will offer a range of direct marketing customers, including financial institutions and insurance offices, a competitive advantage by enabling them to produce more relevant, targeted printed documents for large customer databases and mailing lists.
Available in the first quarter of 2008, the Jetstream system integrates colour advertising on transactional documents at high speed, claimed Oce.

Oce has introduced three new wide format colour scanners and a new improved version of the Oce Color Copy Software.

The Jetstream system is said by the company to be the latest Oce product that means service bureaux, graphic arts operations, letter shops, data centres, offset printers and other commercial and corporate printers can now access a complete range of price, print quality, speed and duty cycles for their full colour production requirements.
The launch of the Jetstream system completes the rejuvenation and expansion of Oce's range of continuous feed printing systems, which includes the Colorstream 10000, which was introduced in September, and the Variostream 9000, 8000 and 7000 printing systems.
Oce's executive vice president for production printing,Sebastian Landesberger, commented: "Compared to other high-volume colour inkjet printers, the new Jetstream system offers our customers considerable benefits.
It provides significantly higher productivity than comparable printing systems and the impact on a user's business is expected to be substantial, thanks to our focus on integration, operation and uptime.
The speed, quality and flexibility the system also offers will enable our customers to capture lucrative new business." Landesberger explained: "The Jetstream is expected to lead its category in flexibility, quality and speed.
The introduction of this product is fully in-line with our stated intention to distinguish ourselves in our markets by supplying products with high added value for our customers and ourselves.".
