The ASP4000/CNC automatic screenprinting press from Oltronik of Poland was demonstrated throughout the Fespa 2007 exhibition in Berlin (Germany).

The machine is claimed to enable multicolour and durable printing on cylindrical, oval, flat and rectangular objects made of paper, plastic, glass and metal The ASP4000/CNC can be used for direct printing on CD and DVD discs, paper cubes, bottles, cups and tubes, as well as case elements and advertising gadgets

Oltronik said that its press uses UV inks to provide a durability of printed products.

After loading an object, the machine prints each colour in an automatic cycle and dries each printout in a UV reactor simultaneously.

When printing on glass objects, the ceramic thermoplactic inks are used and the machine is equipped with screen charging units and isolated frames, which hold the screens.

Czeslaw Olejniczak, owner of Oltronik, said: "We introduced the press for the first time in 2003 and since that time we have delivered the presses to 10 customers, especially small and medium-sized companies." The ASP4000/CNC construction is based on AC servomotors.

The digital CNC control system enables setting and modification of the printing parameters from the operator panel.

The system simplifies press handling as well as increasing its productivity, even when printing small and medium batches of objects, said Oltronik.

In its standard version the machine is equipped with positioning system (with a camera enabling 50 times repeated enlargement) for adjusting the printed picture along the object's axes with the use of vision system.

The system simplifies machine's make-ready when changing the jobs and increases precision printing.

Olejniczak added: "Following the newest industry trends, we have implemented many digital steering and control elements in our presses.

These are today's market standards and that's what our customers expect from us as well." According to Olejniczak, the machine attracted great interest amongst FESPA visitors.

Seven hundred people visited Oltronik's stand from all continents.

Oltronik said that it intends to promote the ASP4000/CNC press mainly in EC countries, although it would welcome interest from other regions.

The company was founded in 1987 and is one of the first Polish manufacturers of screenprinting machines and devices, it beleives.
