In its presentation at Ifra Expo 2005 in Leipzig (Germany) Onevision Software launched new versions of its Asura and Solvero applications, as well as the new version of Asura Enterprise, Onevision's software for automated data reception.

The enhanced functions of Asura Enterprise are said to enable publishers to offer a much more target oriented service to their customers and, at the same time, reduce administrative costs.

The possibility to import and export PDF 1.6 in the new version of Asura and Solvero enables Onevision users to accept, control, correct and optimise automatically almost any type of PDF file, said the company.

The new automated ink coverage function results in reduced printing and ink costs.

During the show, Onevision focused on workflow automation and cost reduction and showed software features like automatic ink coverage reduction and support for all PDF formats due to the ability to import and export PDF 1.6 files.

The company also presented its applications as JDFnet-based customer facing tools within publishers' workflows, or integrated via JDFnet with the applications of other vendors such as PPI.

Publishers could see Onevision products as stand-alone products, as well as seeing how products, such as Asura integrated with those from other vendors.
