Glasgow printer John McCormick and Co took delivery of the Optimus Financial software at the end of last November.
The installation was part of a much larger order of £50,000 for a complete suite of Optimus 2020 MIS modules, as financial director Alan Dempster explained.
"We've been an Optimus Classic MIS user for several years and reached the point where we needed to upgrade our system.

John McCormick and Co has been operating Optimus Payroll financial software for the last 18 months and said that early trials of the Optimus Financials package have already indicated significant benefits in terms of efficiency and flexibility.
"We expect Optimus Financials to quickly prove its ability to improve our credit control and provide us with automatic, up-to-the-minute reports at all levels within the company.
This type of analysis is extremely useful in helping us ensure we run an effective business," commented Dempster.
There are more than 30 modules within the Optimus Financials package, including sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, that are said to allow a wide range of electronic communication options to suppliers and customers, with information matched to that held on the Optimus 2020 MIS system.
Other modules include credit control, which provides forecast cash flow and multi currency, which enables invoices to be produced in multiple currencies.
John McCormick and Co is a family-run business, supplying sheet-fed, narrow web and digital printing services.
In addition to general commercial print the company said it specialises in the production, stocking and distribution of continuous business forms, as well as being a supplier of stationery items.
The first stage of the Optimus 2020 installation will take place in March and it will be followed by other Optimus 2020 modules later in the year.
