Squeezing Every Bit Of Efficiency With New MIS
As Capital Print and Display prepares for the arrival of a new sheet-fed press in May, the London (UK) large-format specialist has completed the upgrade of its management information system (MIS).
Visitors to the show will be able to see the latest modules and new features, which have been designed to increase functions and efficiency.
Recently introduced features include Optimus Desktop Alerts, which give key performance views of production, sales and financial data.
There is a new database, offering an overall performance improvement, particularly when creating reports.
Other new functions include the ability to create snapshots of a PDF file and store them with the electronic job bag.
That is claimed to make it easy for anyone involved in producing the job to check the content, including images.
Repeat jobs can be found more quickly and production time saved at several stages.
Someone on the shop floor could even use a web browser to check details within the electronic job ticket of the job being working on.
Optimus has MIS modules covering all aspects of production and has customers in virtually all printing sectors, including pure digital, commercial sheet-fed and digital, web, labels, screen, packaging and flexo.
