OTM, the digital print and transactional mail specialist based in Leicester (UK), demonstrated the security of its information systems by attaining ISO 27001 approval.

Kris Prashad, OTM's managing director, said: "Our achievement of ISO27001, together with the environmental ISO 14001 and the ISO 9001 certificate means that we are one of the very few specialist mailing organisations in the UK to have the full suite of accreditations." OTM's quality manager, Andrew Harrison, commented: "The certification of OTM to the requirements of the information security standard (ISO 27001) sends a powerful message to our customers about how seriously OTM as a company treats the security, integrity and confidentiality of information." The company operates from two sites in Leicester and Swindon and it currently employs 200 staff.

OTM also holds the DMA, QMP, MPS and UVDB accreditations.

ISO 27001 is the international standard for management of information security.

It sets out the ways in which a company should address the requirements of three important areas, confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets and incorporates them in to an Information management security system (ISMS).
